  1. hey senator oblivious...the second amendment was not written to ensure the citizens had the right to defend themselves. the second amendment was not written to ensure the citizens could feed their families by hunting.
the second amendment was written to ensure the citizens could overthrow their government should their government over step the limits set down in the constitution and/or become a dictatorship/oligarkey.
an unarmed/under armed citizen cannot do that.
U.S. vs miller decision stated that any weapon which has a military application, and/or would be helpful to a militia was protected by the second amendment.
tennassee vs garner found that law enforcement carried weapons for self defence only. by the equal protection standard, that means if cops carry ar-15s for self defense, then the general population must be allowed to carry ar-15s for self defense.
oh, one more thing....heroin has been outlawed completely for over 100 years, yet it is still available by criminal distribution networks. what makes you think a total ban on guns would work any better??

  2. Instead of focusing on "assault" weapons, which an Armalite Rifle is not one of since it's strictly a semi-automatic weapon, Ole Dianne should focus on banning Crack Cocaine which kills far more people than firearms.

Having said that the banning firearms and crack cocaine would only result in:

    1) Prohibiting honest and lawful citizens from purchasing weapons of their choice and not stop criminal possession of any weapon.

    2) Cocaine use and selling is already illegal but its use is rampant among certain members of our society. It does not affect honest lawful citizens since they don't imbibe in selling or using crack Cocaine.

On the other hand, the drug dealers and gangstas would go about their illicit business unhindered.

In conclusion Dianne Feinstein is just another "feel good, Liberal stooge".

  4. I know that CA is a liberal bastion, but how the fuck do they keep sending this hag back to D.C.? And for her to try and lecture Ted Cruz, a man who has argued cases before the SCOTUS, about the constitution, which she obviously knows about as much about as the ACLU, is absurd. The battle lines are once again being drawn, only this time, they are drawn darker and wider. Step up, 2nd amendment supporters, or you are going to see things happen that will send chills down the spine of everyone of us.
