The World's Largest Street Gang

Sure, the "3,000 Boys" are a group of tattooed thugs from Los Angeles who spend a lot of time in jail, share cryptic hand signs, have a cultivated sensitivity to being "dissed," routinely beat up people at parties and instigate fights in bars -- but don't you dare call them a "gang."

While law enforcement officials will concede that the group engages in "gang-like activity," they refuse to designate the group itself as a gang. This may have something to do with the fact that this little knot of miscreants is composed of LA County Sheriff's Deputies employed at the Men's Central Jail.

  1. Man I had a long good comment but BLOGGER KILLED IT!!!! Freakin Blogger SUCKS that's why I went to Wordpress on my own server.

    Basically it was this:

Prisons are separated by gangs and race. The guards have their own gang. I don't care if they beat the hell out of the inmates but once outside the prison, they need to become model citizens. Tough job.

What these guys are accused of is not the entire 3000 right? I mean that's the argument the Mexican's use when you bring up Mexican crime... 3,000 guards sticking together for survival in the jail is not out of the ordinary. The politicians have given prisoners more rights than those on the outside these days. You'd love this place man it's like being in a foreign nation... sad.
